Crowd Safety is our game

Crowd Safety – Applied Crowd Science

The purpose of this course is to raise awareness about crowd and individual behaviour, as well as their reactions to various situations. It also offers insights into how public behaviour can be modeled and how certain techniques can be applied to enhance public safety.

The Applied Crowd Science course was developed by Professor G. Keith Still and is now delivered by the Event Safety Institute under an exclusive license from Professor Still. We now offer this course in-house for an all-in group rate, which can lead to a signifiant discount on the course fee per delegate. The group rate includes the following:

  1. Participation in the three-day course for up to 20 participants.
  2. Access to the online portal for all individual delegates, which contains the full course as e-learning material and additional documentation for all participants.
  3. A personal copy of the educational book Applied Crowd Science by Prof. Dr. Keith Still for all delegates.
  4. The opportunity to submit an assignment that qualifies participants to obtain a Certificate of Achievement at NVQ Level 5 (internationally accredited by Highfield, UK).

Event Safety Institute: teaching and advising you on crowd safety

Crowd Safety Management is inextricably linked with the safety, livability and experience of events and other busy places. To guarantee safe conditions, knowledge is needed about how, why, where and when crowds behave in a certain way. Scientific insights and practical experiences go hand in hand.

Event Safety Institute helps those responsible for safety in crowded places with training and education, advice, planning and coordination on the implementation of crowd safety management. ESI operates completely independently. The approach we advocate is pragmatic, with a personal touch.
